At the beginning of my stay at Artist in Residence Arte Ventura in Spain February 2023, I saw a small dead robin next to my apartment. I was afraid to step on top of him. So I thought of a way to prevent this.
For 6 years I have been commissioned by the cemeteries De Nieuwe Ooster en De Nieuwe Noorder in Amsterdam. To commemorate the beloved deceased in a film.
Sometimes I miss that and sometimes I don’t because now there are new options.
Death always remains in our lives for humans and animals.
For this little bird I devised a ritual.
